Pinguicula

Pinguicula emarginata x moctezumae

A hybrid of two Mexican cliff-dwelling butterworts – one from misty cloud-forest ravines in Puebla/Veracruz, the other from limestone canyon walls along the Río Moctezuma – bred for vigor and long leaves, but still happiest in bright light, cool nights, and mineral, rocky media. Produces small 5-lobed bright magenta-purple flowers with a pale to white throat all throughout the year when happy.
